I ran out of coffee one day. How very foolish. But I came across this drink instead. Turmeric has anti – inflammatory properties. It also has a predisposition to stain everything – hands, clothes and work surfaces yellow so treat it with respect. I make my turmeric latte with rice milk as that’s what I like but any milk will be fine.
Ingredients
350mls rice milk (or any other milk substitute you may have)
¼ teaspoon turmeric
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ginger
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon maple syrup
Method
Heat the rice milk gently until hot. Put the spices, vanilla extract and syrup into a small bowl or cup and stir really well to combine. Add to the hot milk and again stir well or whisk to combine or you will end up with the mix sinking.
Pour into a cup and enjoy.
