Lockdown Part III is upon us and I was lucky enough to grab a quick lunch with my daughters whilst we were in tier 3. Parking up in Bath, we went to the site of the old Green Park railway station to eat some pizza made by the Bath Pizza Co. I had been planning to visit a few eateries in Bath in 2020 but alas, a certain pandemic has killed off the hospitality trade and stopped us all having a life.
Anyway, back to the Bath Pizza Co. The weather was absolutely freezing. It was so cold that I had to nip into town and buy a jumper. The girls were all right beause Mummy insisted that they wear a jumper and then promptly forgot to put one on herself. The Bath Pizza Co were only doing take away due to the tier restrictions. When we arrived, there were a few people hanging around waiting for pizza and eating it from the box.
We ordered a marinara, a meat feast and a gluten free pepperoni pizza, all the same size. The pizza was cooked in front of us and was very enjoyable. The base was slighly blackened and the toppings perfect. Youngest daughter likes garlic dip with her pizza and the garlic mayo provided was very generous and certainly packed with garlic – we could all taste it until supper time. We ended up sitting on the floor inside Green Park as there was no seating in the immediate vicinity. If it had been a bit warmer we could have nipped down to the canal and eaten overlooking the water which would have been nice. The bill was about £30 for 3 pizzas and a dip.
Since the third lockdown, Bath Pizza Co are still serving food for collection – see the website link below.
